Achille Castiglioni, 1991

Italian Designer Achille Castiglioni was said to ponder a lot on lost space, contemplating empty inches and square meters that could be filled with beautiful design – but for some reason just never were. Due to this thinking, he created many designs intended specifically for the corners of the home.  Lungangolo is one of those designs. Lungangolo is a multi-use piece of furniture -- the frame is made of four slender pillars with square cross-sections in between to support the square shelves placed in various heights, while the structure is strengthened by a drawer and a side piece.
