Alberese Wood

Piero Lissoni, 2021

The prominent proportions of Alberese Wood offer a reassuring presence without coming off as bulky, making the 2021 evolution of Alberese. Framed by a dark stained oak structure, Alberese Wood is a nod to nature and the landscapes of Maremma, Italy, with its soft contours that delicately capture the perfect lines of the frame. The sofa continues laterally beyond its endpoints, modeling itself into molded, small square or rectangular tables that are available in a free-standing version. Designer Piero Lissoni explains: “Alberese Wood shares the same DNA as its brother Alberese: a sofa that straddles the worlds of design and architecture with its superior comfort and distinctive corners. The family takes as its inspiration a very streamlined countryside with infinite horizons. Here we have added a wooden frame, yet another element that recalls the landscapes of the Maremma and its gentle slopes.”
