Kangourou

Mathieu Matégot, 1950s

OVERVIEW

Shadows are a common theme in Matégot's designs. This can clearly be seen in the Kangourou table which consists of two small tables with the smaller one fitting into the larger one. When the tables are displayed together as one unit, light passes through, reflecting half-moon shadows onto the floor. When standing separately, two full moons are reflected.
