Personal and practical, Embla is a table with dual functionality. Its two levels take care of objects with different energies: moving around or standing still. Designers Elsa Ekdahl and Anne Skoug Obel started the initial creative process by considering the table’s functionalities and its role in various everyday settings, mainly the idea that tables often subordinate the objects placed on them. With that in mind, Embla has two different tops: a larger platform for objects that come and go, such as dinnerware, and a smaller one for things that stay put, like a flower pot. Possessing a charming sense of personailty and style, Embla pairs well with sofas and easy chairs in both public spaces and private homes.
