Hans J. Wegner, 1949

The Folding Chair is an innovative design which takes into account not only the need for functional and elegant furniture, but also the need for space and flexibility. Modern and minimalistic, the chair exhibits the superb craftsmanship of both solid wood and cane, which pair effortlessly in this timeless design. The Folding Chair was developed with the intention of being folded up and hung on the wall, almost as a piece of art, when not in use. The PP512 is a strong exhibition of the principles that drove Hans J. Wegner's creative genius -- aesthetics, materials, versatility, and functionality, which all come together as one in this design.
