Fabricius & Kastholm met eachother at the School of Interior design where they formed a partnership and later founded an architecture office in 1961. They specialised in designing both furniture and single-family housing. Although they have created incredible designs individually, it is in partnership that they have achieved their greatest success. Their furniture is elegant, refined, and crafted with an extraordinary sense of functionality, detail and quality. Inspired by the 1920s functionalistic pioneers and the 1960s innovative Scandinavian language of form, Fabricius & Kastholm designed a range of minimalist furniture that withstands the test of time.
The FK87 Grasshopper is made in the same factory and with the same tools as used in the 1960s to make the original furniture.
