PP225 Flag Halyard

Hans J. Wegner, 1950

OVERVIEW

The Flag Halyard Chair constitutes ultimate and luxurious relaxation, without compromising the use of quality materials and innovative design. With a frame made of solid stainless steel, 240 metres of specially developed flag line forming the seat and back, and a longhaired sheepskin cover softening the industrial sharpness of the metal, the chair takes on an identity all its own. Despite having obvious preferences for wood, Hans J. Wegner brings his bold and courageous appetite for creating to the forefront with the Flag Halyard Chair. The design pays tribute to the early modernists such as Le Corbusier, Mies van der Rohe, and Marcel Breuer, and proves that Wegner masters steel with the same conclusive elegance as he masters wood. Special Limited Edition Jubilee features a vibrant yellow base and ash wood feet.
