Original 1227™ Brass Desk Lamp

George Carwardine, 1935

The Original 1227™ Desk Lamp was designed by George Carwardine in 1934, an automotive engineer who applied industrial aesthetics to create a task lamp using an innovative spring technology while enhancing both flexibility and stability. Now considered an archetypal design and an iconic piece in Anglepoise’s collection, the Original 1227™ is highly adjustable and can be manipulated to produce different angles in lighting and functionality. Now updated to include heritage-inspired colors and authentic brass details, this elegant table lamp is a welcomed addition to both commercial and residential environments.
