Stripe 8

Craig Bassam and Scott Fellows, 2008

OVERVIEW

The Stripe Table Series borrows structural principles from architecture to modernize and streamline the classic farm table. The result: an effortlessly light table constructed entirely of solid wood. Alternating planks of teak, ash, and walnut create a “stripe” effect, adding a bold graphic punch to the simple, architectural base. Inspired in part by the aesthetics of a common workman’s bench, the table’s base utilizes a truss structure to provide stability and strength without unnecessary bulk.
