Tractor Stools

Craig Bassam and Scott Fellows, 2003

OVERVIEW

Craig Bassam was working on a project in Switzerland when he found a tractor seat on the side of the road. So impressed by the ergonomics of the seat and its ability to keep him upright, despite lacking a back, he decided to recreate the seat in wood.  The Tractor Stool collection encourages correct posture and is supremely comfortable.  The solid walnut is hand finished with a combination oil/sealer. No stains are ever used to mask the natural beauty of the wood and each stool is unique and carved on a 5-axis CNC machine. Mortise and Tenon joinery is used for strength and durability.
