Chris L. Halstrøm,

You'd be hard-pressed to find a detail that isn't thoughtfully included in the Vester chair. First, a transverse brass rod that indicates where you pull out the chair. Next, legs that continue up into the backrest and become a small hook, where you can hang a purse or small bag. Last, a body in golden oiled oak that naturally contrasts the details in brass. All-in-all, Vester is a dining chair designed in a well-proportioned idiom, magnificently comfortable and sophisticated in every possible way. The chair's elegance is subtle and understated, and yet still very much present—a true testament to Skagerak's commitment to beautiful, functional, transformative designs. It's hardly a surprise that the Vester Chair won ”Furniture of the year” at the 2020 Danish Design Awards.
