Tube Chair

Dan Svarth,

OVERVIEW

The seat on Dan Svarth’s Tube Chair almost seems to be floating in the air. Mounted on four small hand-milled cones in stainless steel, it is elevated slightly above the frame. The shape of the seat, with its rounded corners, is not quite a triangle, not quite a square but something in between. With its refined visual lightness, the overall feeling of the Tube Chair is incredibly chic and sophisticated, exhibiting a sense of cohesiveness through its sleek, fluid curves. Despite its simple and straightforward appearance, the design requires significant attention to detail, and consists of 17 individual components, which come together in a fluid form.
