CH29

Hans J. Wegner, 1952

OVERVIEW

Designed by Hans J. Wegner in 1952, the CH29 Chair is an extremely comfortable dining chair that, despite its appearance, is very stable.  The chair's design, which recalls that of a sawbuck, is closely associated with Wegner's CH28 Easy Chair.  Hans J. Wegner is widely considered to be one of the leading figures in 20th Century furniture design and a driving force in the "Danish Modern" movement that changed the way people looked at furniture in the 1950's and 1960's.
