M Table

Angelo Mangiarotti, 1969

OVERVIEW

The M Table is an all-stone table with a lathe-turned central stand with a hyperboloid section which is wider at the base and narrower towards the top. The flared base streamlines the structure of the table to accommodate the top which simply uses gravity to stay in place.  The M Table is the first example in Angelo Mangiarotti's use of marble to construct objects designed as furnishings for the home.
