The purist design of the Simple bed family puts the living material in the foreground, and the lightness of the construction is enhanced by the bed's lifted frame, which appears to be floating on air. The Bold version of the Simple beds differs from the standard bed by offering a substantially higher bed frame and higher feet. The higher bed sides allow for more insertion depths and offer space for motorised slatted frames and high mattresses, while the comfortable height makes it easier to get in and out of bed.
