CH825 Credenza

Hans J. Wegner, 1958

OVERVIEW

The CH825 was originally one of a series of three credenzas by Hans J. Wegner launched in 1959. In recent years, the CH825, particularly the rosewood version, has been a highly coveted furniture piece at auctions. Although simple in shape, the credenza features an advanced design with roller shutter doors, requiring double sides and a rear panel, between which the roller shutters run on a track and disappear when opened. The interior of this unit features adjustable shelves and a pullout drawer system designed to allow for easy installation of additional drawers. Originally designed in rosewood and teak, CH825 Credenza today is now offered in walnut and oak. Options for the legs include a solid rounded foot in walnut or oak as well as steel loops, which are also used in Wegner's popular CH100 series.
