JP Salad Servers

John Pawson, 2005

$137.00

OVERVIEW

John Pawson's salad servers are part of a tableware collection that began with the idea of equipping the Abbey of Novy Dvür in Bohemia with a set of dishes and utensils that would meet both the functional and aethsetic needs of the monastic community. "The designs reflect a commitment to the discipline of paring away until what is left cannot be improved by further subtraction. I seek the comfort of exactness, an absolute precision of scale and proportion."

This is the vision of when objects work's director, Beatrice de Lafontaine. The Belgian company produces and distributes exclusive objects designed by leading designers and architects whose work shares a preoccupation with simple forms, immaculate function, and a timeless idiom.
