In the February/March 2015 issue of Western Art & Architecture magazine, the publication highlights the VVD Pottery collection by architect and designer Vincent Van Duysen. Designed for Belgian manufacturer When Objects Work,  the pottery epitomizes Van Duysen’s minimalist aesthetic. Each piece is composed of two elements: a solid sandblasted walnut or oak lid and a ceramic earthenware base which is offered in a variety of hues reminiscent of a subtle but intense European sky. Read as a series, the differences of scale and color of these vessels create powerful rhythms and modulations to be mixed and matched.
