Japanese architecture collides with Western modernism to form a dreamy new lounge chair designed by Japanese “starchitect” Tadao Ando for Danish furniture manufacturer Carl Hansen & Son. Appropriately named the “Dream Chair,” the design was inspired by Ando’s own desire to encourage people to take the time to dream. This week we’ve singled out the Dream Chair as our Item of the Week not only because it is beautiful, but because its manufacturing process is completely unique.
