The CH24 Wishbone Chair is perhaps Wegner’s most celebrated work.  A light, attractive and comfortable dining chair with the characteristic Y-shaped back, gently curved legs and sloping arms. The chair is a triumph of craftsmanship with a simple design and clean lines. Despite the chair’s straightforward appearance it takes more than 100 steps to make just one. The hand-woven seat consists of more than 120 meters of paper cord. The Wishbone is a relatively small piece of furniture, perfect for around a dining table or even as a desk chair. The CH24 has a spacious seat and allows its user to change position. The back offers good support and most people feel comfortable in it for a longer period of time. The curved top rail makes it easy to move around and though the arm rests are long enough to give adequate support to your forearms, the chair can still be pushed in close to a table.  Hans J. Wegner designed the Wishbone chair for Carl Hansen & Søn in 1949 and it has been in continuous production since 1950.
