Designed by the De Padova family in 2004, the Pouf Capitonné’s success lies in its uncanny ability to function well in both contemporary and more traditional rooms. The tufted, inviting design is an immediate draw for visitors to our showroom who regularly sprawl across its expansive surface an declare “I need this.”

The perfect piece for entertaining, it can seat up to eight friends. One needs the space of course, as the Pouf Capitonné carries a hefty footprint in either of its two sizes (4’x4′ or 5’x5′).

The art of tufting has been around for centuries. Upholsterers achieve this look by threading through layers of fabric or leather, often in a pattern, and securing the ends of the thread with a knot or button.  Tufted leather retains its shape better than any other material, so while the leather breaks in and gains character, the full and clean shape of the Pouf Capitonné remains for decades.
