INTRODUCING SKULTUNA

May 06, 2015

2015 is shaping up to be the year of all things brass. Which is why we stopped dead in our tracks when we spotted the booth of Swedish home accessories line Skultuna earlier this year at Paris’s Maison & Objet. The company was founded in 1607 when, in an effort to reduce the costly expenditures of brass import, King Karl IX made the town of Skultuna, Sweden home to his official brass foundry. Today from that same little town in Sweden, the company manufactures iconic pieces from the 17th century alongside contemporary designs, yielding a collection that gracefully marries the old with the new. We hope you enjoy these new pieces available now at SUITE NY, because over 400 years of Swedish tradition can’t be wrong.
