Fritz Hansen exemplifies everything that makes Danish design such a powerful force in the world of design—an unmatched commitment to quality materials, a masterful understanding of craftsmanship, and globally-renowned aesthetics. In celebration of the C SUITE NY launch event co-sponsored in partnership with Fritz Hansen, this week we’re highlighting five designs that honor the Fritz Hansen collection and legacy.
Arne Jacobsen
The Egg™ is a masterpiece of Danish design and a centerpiece of Fritz Hansen’s collection. Arne Jacobsen meticulously designed the chair in 1958 as part of a broad collection for the Royal Copenhagen Hotel. The chair draws from Jacobsen’s architectural expertise as well as his commitment to functional design. Because of its unique shape, the Egg™ is ideal for the home and can provide a bit of privacy in public spaces, such as lounge and waiting areas. Matching footstool also available.
Poul Kjærholm
The PK4™ is a modern, relaxed lounge chair designed by Poul Kjærholm. The designer’s distinctive elegance is expressed through a light, minimalist form. PK4’s innovative frame showcases Kjærholm’s masterful understanding of design while providing the chair with a sophisticated visual lightness. Frame available in matte black or stainless steel. Optional cushion available in natural canvas, black canvas, or black leather.
Jaime Hayon
The Fri™ easy chair adds a striking, sophisticated expression to any interior. Designed by Spanish designer Jaime Hayon, the chair has a soft, sculptured form that is as pleasing to the body as it is to the eye. Aluminium legs add contemporary appeal to the chair’s modern design. The open sides and low back of this piece were designed to help facilitate easy conversation with those around you. Available in multiple upholstery options. Legs also available in clear lacquered oak.
Poul Kjærholm
The PK61™ coffee table is as minimalistic as it gets from the hand of Poul Kjærholm. The square, aesthetic design shows Kjærholm’s development from industrial designer to noteworthy furniture architect. The PK61 table highlights the fantastic sensibilities we’ve come to expect from Danish design. Now in Fauske marble, the design takes on an added sense of strength and elegance.

Arne Jacobsen
The Ant™ chair’s visual expression is delicate and artful, much like the curves of a musical instrument. Designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1952, the chair is made from nine layers of pressure moulded veneer. Its elegant shape disguises its remarkable strength. Ant™ remains one of the most iconic designs in Fritz Hansen’s collection, and now with luxurious front upholstery, this stylish, curvaceous design can offer even more comfort.
