With Superbowl XLVIII just days away, all of New York City is busy gearing up for the big event.  And, if you’re wondering who is going to take the coveted title of Superbowl Champion, all you have to do is look to the skies.

The Empire State Building has officially teamed up with Verizon to launch the first ever social media-driven light show.  You may have seen it illuminating the city skyline for the past week.  Since Monday, Verizon has been calling upon the Twitter universe, to make predictions on the outcome of the Super Bowl.  By using the hashtag #WhosGonnaWin, football fans tweet their predictions and the results are then reflected in that night’s light show.  Marc Brickman, the lighting design artist behind the show, lights iconic building nightly at 6 p.m. in either blue and orange for the Denver Broncos or green and white for the Seattle Seahawks.  The flashy campaign will continue through Super Bowl Sunday.

At our NYC showroom, we happen to have the perfect view of the show.  The video above is of the Empire State Building last night lit up in blue and orange for the Broncos who have dominated the skyline for the past two nights in a row.
