SUITE New York’s Grete Jalk Nesting Tables are featured in the November 2013 issue of Dwell Magazine.
The overall theme of this month’s issue is “Small Spaces, Big Ideas” and our GJ Nesting Tables are featured in the article titled, “Tiny Furniture” as they are perfectly petite, which is ideal for a small living space.
Designed by Grete Jalk in 1963, the GJ Nesting Tables coordinate with her iconic GJ Chair. The expressive sculptural form of the nesting tables, composed of three molded plywood tables, marks a late highlight in the engagement of prominent designers with this material, which had commenced in the 1930’s. Grete Jalk’s genuine passion and honesty in every aspect of quality has made her a prominent name in Danish design. The GJ Chair and Nesting Tables are a few of her most recognized pieces.
