Details Magazine: Bent Glass Coffee Table

Details Magazine “singles out” SUITE NY’s Bent Glass Coffee Table for being made from a single piece of material in their March 2014 issue.  Designed by longtime Muji designer Naoto Fukasawa in 2012 the Bent Glass Coffee Table is meant to combine formal refinement and functionality.  Fukasawa spent two years perfecting this deceptively simple curved table. Much research and experimentation in the use and in the manufacturing techniques of crystal glass went into the making of the table.  The particular glass curvature and a special tempering process endow the glass with surprising strength despite it being under half an inch thick.  Its striking simplicity makes it the ideal addition to any home.
