In the Winter 2016 issue of Denver Life Home & Design magazine, the publication features a ravishing selection of furnishings in varied shades of red. Among the red hot picks are three designs from some of SUITE NY’s favorite vendors; Foscarini, Rud Rasmussen, and Spectrum.
Inspired by highly-tufted French rococo sofas, grandfather of modern Danish design Kaare Klint wished to simplify and modernize the style by creating a sofa with a simple shape and easily moveable sections that could be placed together as desired. The Addition Sofa collection is comprised of two modular elements, one with a back and one without.
Le Soleil is a suspension lamp made of overlapping bands, which are not symmetrical but instead dynamically irregular, acting as elements that reflect inwards and diffuse outwards. The end result creates a warm and sunny lighting effect which is both graphic and luminous at the same time.
First designed in 1963 as a symmetrical pair for the Steltman jewelry house in The Hague, Rietveld’s Steltman Chair was reissued in 2014 by furniture brand Rietveld Originals to mark the iconic design’s 50th anniversary. The geometric chair is available in oak, fabric, or leather.
