SUITE NY x Gubi: Bohemian 72 by Gabriella Crespi
On April 5th, 2022, SUITE NY and Danish Design House Gubi, teamed up to host an event in celebration of Gabriella Crespi’s Bohemian 72 newly launched collection. The sofa, lounge chair, ottoman, and floor lamp made their debut at the SUITE NY showroom over cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.
Originally designed in 1972 and only ever produced for private clients, this collection was brought to life again in February of this year, coinciding with the year in which Gabriella Crespi would have turned 100 years old. With the pieces now available to the public for the first time, the launch event was enjoyed by industry professionals, friends, and members of the press.
SUITE NY x ADFF: “Another Kind of Knowledge: A Portrait of Dorte Mandrup”
On the evening of March 29th, SUITE NY opened its doors to host its first event since 2019. We were honored to collaborate with the Architecture and Design Film Festival for a cocktail reception at our Park Avenue showroom, followed by a screening at the SVA Theater for the film “Another Kind of Knowledge: A Portrait of Dorte Mandrup.”
Danish architect, Dorte Mandrup, was our guest of honor, and we had the unique opportunity of engaging with her on a personal level and learning of her influences and experiences on a first hand basis.

On this installment of Design Talks, we have chosen to show your our favorite pieces from our latest collection, AP Serien by A. Petersen.
Designed and crafted in Denmark by Danish designers and master craftsment, A. Petersen experiences all aspects of artisan craft and contemporary design. With a mix of both seasoned and emerging designers, the AP Serien furniture line showcases the best that Danish design has to offer.

Join us on another Design Talks as our Creative Director, Chris Kraig, tells us all about the SK207 table and the CAP53 Vases by Italian design icon, Angelo Mangiarotti.
Made in the ancient technique of lost-wax-casting, the SK207 table is a unique design. Made in a limited series of 100, SUITE NY has the first edition of this exclusive Mangiarotti series, produced by AgapeCasa.
Made using the same technique, the CAP53 vases are also being produced in a limited run of 100 sets, of which SUITE NY also holds the first edition.

For the second installment of our video series, Design Talks, we asked our Managing Director, Nick Taricco, to tell us a little bit about Hans J. Wegner and the CH33 dining chair.
Nick welcomes us into his home for a closer look at his dining space, featuring the CH33, to share a little bit of design history.
While Hans J. Wegner designed a multitude of pieces throughout his lifetime, some of his most iconic designs were dining chairs and the CH33 is no exception.

THE BEETLE STORY
During NYC Design Week of 2019, SUITE NY had the pleasure of hosting design duo, GamFratesi, as well as Jacob Gubi from GUBI for a series of design events at our Park Ave. showroom.
Architects, interior designers, and friends, came together for a private dinner at the SUITE NY showroom where they were able to connect with Stine Gam, Enrico Fratesi, and Jacob Gubi on a personal level. The atmosphere was defined by creative energy, a constant exchange of ideas, and a share passion for the world of design and architecture.
A panel discussion moderated by Spencer Bailey, creator of The Slow Down, allowed us all to get an inside look at GamFratesi’s creative process and design philosophy as well as their relationship with GUBI.

A CONVERSATION ON POETIC MODERNISM
in March of 2019, SUITE NY had the pleasure of hosting Danish design duo, Space Copenhagen, for a series of events at our Park Ave. showroom.
Architects, interior designers, content creators, and members of the press came together for a private dinner at the SUITE NY showroom where they were able to connect with Signe Bindslev Henriksen and Peter Bundgaard Rützou on a personal level. Professional and creative discussions regarding the architecture and design industry were able to flourish in this intimate atmosphere, giving way to new friendships and partnerships.
A panel discussion moderated by Rima Suqi, brought us back in time to Signe and Peter’s early years, their start in the A&D community, and their shared history as they became Space Copenhagen.
