This year marked the 10th anniversary of Interior Design Magazine’s now world-renowned award ceremony, Best of Year. Luring in the industry’s top products and projects, the event is a celebration of everything that is design. Among the spectrum of categories (some general and others more specific) SUITE NY’s very own manufacturer Luteca nabbed the coveted nomination for “Best of Seating: Residential/Sofa” with the Air Sofa by Alexander Andersson. Although Andersson’s design didn’t win it is no surprise that the publication recognized the beauty of this special piece of furniture.

The Air Sofa, designed by Swedish Mexican designer Alexander Andersson, is inspired by the architectural I-beams in buildings. It is engineered to withstand weight on every section of the sofa, allowing people to sit on both the seat and any part of the arms. It maximizes space and seating if used as a centerpiece and is equally elegant in any living scheme arrangement. The removable legs for installation ease can be made in either solid brass or polished stainless steel.
