Autumn brings cool, crisp air, and with it, the promise of social gatherings as the holidays approach. Chic designs do more than just facilitate meals and get-togethers—they serve as a foundation upon which cherished memories can be made and provide an environment that fosters warmth and togetherness. This week, we’re highlighting five designs to elevate your entertaining game this Fall season.
Hvidt & Mølgaard
Drop Leaf was initially designed in 1956, and as the name suggests, this beautiful table is built in the drop-leaf style, with a hinged section on each side that folds down from the fixed center. The drop-leaf style of the design allows you to save space as needed and can be used as a console or dining table. The table was designed with the intention that one person could easily fold the table on its own, without requiring an additional set of hands. Available in white oiled oak or oiled walnut.
Matti Klenell & Peter Andersson
Originally designed for the restaurant at the National Museum in Stockholm, the Botero chair retains a classic feel without appearing outdated or familiar. With a leather upholstered seat and wraparound back, Botero offers an exceptionally comfortable dining experience. Available in a variety of colors, Botero is the perfect addition to your holiday entertaining events.
John Pawson
Inspired by and designed for a Cisterian monastery in Bohemia, John Pawson’s tableware collection feels tranquil and serene, creating perfect harmony within your dining space. These cream colored dinnerware sets provide a lovely canvas on which to highlight the chef’s masterpieces. The plate and bowl are available in multiple sizes and pair beautifully with John Pawson’s flatware.
Craig Bassam and Scott Fellows
Timeless and refined, CB-450 elevates spaces used for entertaining. Leather, wood, and steel join together in perfect harmony in the Geometric Side Chair. Like most of BassamFellows’ designs, the Geometric Side Chair draws from clear mid-century influences while incorporating a contemporary edge. The result is an elegant chair that fully transforms your dining space and experience.
Horst Brüning
Originally designed in 1968 and reintroduced by Lange Production in 2015, the HB Bar Cart features scratch-resistant chrome-plated steel, leather-wrapped handles, solid oak trays, and industrial-grade casters. Whether you’re hosting a large group for dinner or enjoying a cocktail to unwind after a long day at work, the HB Bar Cart is a functional and stylish addition to your entertaining space.
