What’s more fun than gathering a group of friends to relax and watch a favorite movie? Whether your home includes a designated theater room, or you want to elevate your living room for optimal film and TV viewing, design can be incorporated to add functionality, convenience, and style. This week, we’re highlighting five of our favorite items to help you create an immersive theater experience.
Pierre Paulin
When watching our favorite movies or shows, the ability to fully relax and unwind is essential—and few items are better suited to provide this experience than Pacha. Plush, curvaceous, and comfortable, the design looks like an upholstered cloud. The Pacha Sofa can be customized in a wide range of configurations to meet your needs, with optional connector cushions that allow the chairs to be arranged in a row, to create a designer movie theater setting.
Hvidt & Mølgaard
Pinwheel is composed of six smaller tables which can be arranged and rearranged to suit your movie viewing needs. Slot them together and they cleverly form one circular piece. Separated, they serve the needs of individual users, perfect for placing snacks or drinks, making Pinwheel ideal for hosting movie nights with large groups of family or friends. Available in oak or walnut.
Alvar Aalto
As voluminous as it is comfortable, Armchair 400 was created by Alvar Aalto in 1936. The chair owes its nickname “Tank” to its distinctive wide and sturdy armrests made of form-bent birch lamella and to its robust upholstery. The springy cantilevered frame offers a flexible seat, which we feel is optimal for movie-viewing. Available with clear lacquer, black lacquer, walnut, or honey stain with a range of fabric and leather upholstery options.
Craig Bassam and Scott Fellows
BassamFellows’ Asymmetric Sofa is reminiscent of mid-century Hollywood glamour. Featuring feather and down cushions, three layers of gel memory foam, and optional armrests on either or both sides, Asymmetric is sure to become the most coveted seat in the house for movie night. Available upholstered in a wide range of graded-in fabrics and leathers.

Altherr Désile Park
A perfect perch for popcorn, Ghia is a low table system with multiple configuration options which can serve as side tables or coffee tables. As a group or individually, the design provides ample surface space for food, drinks, and any other essential items for utilizing your theater room or media space. Available in two shapes and three sizes. Tabletop available in moss green, red clay, natural oak, black, or terrazo finish.
