GamFratesi Studio was established in 2006 by Danish architect Stine Gam and Italian architect Enrico Fratesi. The design duo belongs to the latest generation of furniture architects.
The designs from GamFratesi Studio embody a perfect blend of tradition and innovation, capturing the essence of both Danish and Italian design heritage. This week, we’re excited to feature five remarkable pieces from design duo GamFratesi which showcase their
versatile range, from iconic classics to bold new creations, all marked by a minimalist elegance.

MIAU LOUNGE

GamFratesi

The Miau Lounge chair, designed for Koyori in 2024, masterfully marries both Scandinavian and Japanese design principles and techniques. The armrests, which resemble the ears of a cat
and inspired the chair’s name, along with the backrest, are made of a single piece of bent wood, highlighting the strength of the natural material. With its generous dimensions and graceful design, characterized by sleek lines that are both precise and graphical,
the Miau Lounge is the perfect combination of elegance and playfulness. Available in solid oak or walnut in a variety of fabric and leather upholstery options. 

ETIQUETTE SOFA

GamFratesi

Etiquette is an architectural sofa system from GamFratesi. A unique steel frame, a solid ash wood bar, and leather straps add structure and character to the posterior of the sofa, making
it uniquely suitable for defining a lounge space. Its personality shines through in its details, and makes a statement from any angle. Cushions in goose down with memory foam make lounging on Etiquette a delight. Available in multiple sizes and with an optional
pouf. 

KIGO

GamFratesi

The intentionality behind the Kigo Tables lies in their organic shape, but even more captivating is the contrast between oak and walnut —an unexpected feature that creates a dynamic
visual effect. The signature concave bowls incorporated into the tabletop require skilled craftsmanship and are inspired by the sculptures of Isamu Noguchi. The tables are available in a variety of shapes and sizes, allowing for creative compositions and versatile
arrangements.

BAT LOUNGE

The elegant and inviting Bat Lounge features a wide, distinctive shell which carries strong references to the shape of a bat’s wingspan. Balancing between the traditional and eccentric,
the chair is created with a Scandinavian approach to craft, simplicity, and functionalism while also carrying strong references to minimalist design. Available with a high or low back, and in a wide range of upholstery options and different bases.

URIBO

GamFratesi

Uribo, meaning small wild pig in Japanese, was chosen by GamFratesi as the moniker for this stool because it is a small stool with a lot of character. A very materic piece, Uribo flawlessly
expresses GamFratesi’s creative vision and their innate ability to express elegance without the need for excess. Available in either oak or walnut, the stool further showcases the designers’ appreciation for the materials used in the design, giving the product
a personality by bending and shaping the wood into an elegant final product. Available in two heights.
