This Palladian-style waterfront villa is an exercise in leisure and pleasure. Chris Kraig painted the interior in high contrast black and white to create a theatrical feeling reminiscent of a movie set from the 1930's. Ebonized floors set the stage for furnishings of white and black upholstery or light driftwood tones. An overall organic feeling is infused by the use of deep pile carpets, large wooden tables of natural shapes and window treatments that diffuse natural light or complement it in the palest of pastels. This home was featured in the June 2008 issue of Elle Decor magazine.
