Chris Kraig was asked by developer Harry Macklowe to design the interior of a new residential high rise's model apartment. The spectacular skyline views and floor-to-ceiling glass of the building's architectural envelope set the tone. To complement both features, the open plan great room was divided into living area and a dining area using the color white and materials that enhance the apartment's airyness: glass, metal and pale wood. The result is an ethereal retreat that dissolves before the landscape of the Manhattan skyline.
