Chris Kraig was asked by Cookie magazine to conceive a “family-friendly great room” for a showhouse apartment. Kraig used large upholstered pieces in durable materials and with soft corners, to protect children. The lighting's shades were also durable. The square dining area table could be extended into a long trapezoidal shape for extra seating. The color palette, with a splash of red, and the tactile qualities of the décor were designed to appeal to both adults and children alike. The apartment was featured on Cookieliving.com.
