The Teak Chair returns to the essence of designer Alberto Meda's iconic Setes bench in a chair form. Teak Chair is pleasant to the touch and designed to age beautifully. Practical and stackable, it has a surprisingly lightweight aluminum frame. The teak slats are semi-hollow in the lumber support area to add elasticity, ergonomics, and comfort.
From 1973, Alberto Meda was the technical manager of Kartell, responsible for the control of the furniture and plastics laboratory equipment. In 1979, he started as a freelance industrial designer for various companies. His designs are part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art of Toyama and since 1994, the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Included in the collection; "Light light " chair 1987; "Soft light "chair 1989; "Longchair" 1991 by Alias; "On-Off" lamp 1988 by Luceplan.
