Eccentrico Dining Table

Angelo Mangiarotti, 1979

OVERVIEW

The Eccentrico table is a true structural landmark designed by Angelo Mangiarotti, one of the great furniture builders of the 20th century.  Like Franco Albini with his Veliero bookcase and Carlo Mollino with his Cremona table, Mangiarotti took design the the extreme with the Eccentrico, reaching previously unattainded theoretical limits through his experimentation with gravity joints.  The elliptical tabletop is embedded assymetically into the inclined cylindrical base.  The weight of the tabletop pushes down to close the otherwise open joint with the base, thus blocking any vertical sliding through friction and eccentricity.

  • Tabletop embedded in inclined eccentric base. Availble in solid white Carrara marble or black Marquinia marble.
  • 70.9"w 39.4"d 28.3"h
  • Each piece is fitted with an embedded electronic tag to guarantee and safeguard the autheticity of the product, allowing it to be immediately tracked, identified, traced and prevents counterfeiting.
  • Made in Italy by AgapeCasa.
  • Also available as an occasional table.
