LA CREDENCE BY XAVIER LUST FOR DEPADOVA

SUITE New York is pleased to present the limited edition La Credence. Designed by renowned furniture designer Xavier Lust, this credenza is the result of a collaboration with the prestigious Italian manufacturer DePadova.

Lust was born in Bruges, Belgium in 1969. He studied interior design at the Saint-Luc school in Brussels.
Lust designs innovative furniture manufactured in metal, a material in which he specialized through his studies of the deformation of sheet steel.

In the early 1990s he founded his own atelier. He rapidly became known for his furniture and complements in metal, stainless steel and aluminum, in pure, spare forms. His pieces are known for their simultaneous austerity and rich aesthetics of composition.

Lust believes that we can and must create an emotional rapport, a physical relationship and pleasurable associations with furniture and objects; these experiences are obviously not measurable and they go beyond the categories of comfort, durability, solidity and price. The finest furniture and objects are those that succeed in enduring in time, passing through the changes of epochs, those that embody the concepts of clarity, restraint and timelessness.

The designer succeeds in combining simplicity and elegance with functionality, and these qualities, clearly aligned with the De Padova aesthetic, led to his collaboration with the firm. La Credence is a sculptural piece of furniture that is the coherent result of the application of the principles of "deformation of sheet metal."

In a limited edition of 150, La Credence is fabricated of anodized aluminum and available in two magnificent colors and finishes: red lacquer, blue or green Rover varnish. At 55 inches wide with two doors that swing open, the unit is an elegant and unforgettable storage solution. Modern but rich in color, La Credence works in any décor. It is available exclusively at SUITE New York.
